About Avery

Hello my name is Avery, and I've been caregiving since I was a teenager (with several years of babysitting siblings, and family friends' kids, as well as 4 years formally working in childcare). I've worked for Champions (an accredited before/afterschool program and preschool), and with multiple families in the greater Sacramento area. These jobs have allowed me to gain hands-on experience in guiding children using gentle methods, responsive caregiving, and teaching emotional regulation. Qualifications: - 12 ECE credits. - CPR certification. - 4 years of childcare experience with children ranging from 3 mo. to 12 years old - Knowledge on gentle parenting, attachment styles, developmental milestones, developmentally-appropriate activities, and food safety. - Experience with kids who have physical disabilities, neurodivergence, and learning disabilities.
