I worked 4 months in a senior citizen home. I helped with nail care, hair care, dressing, feeding, toileting single/double person assisted wheel chair and lift transfers as well as changing soiled under cloths. I also helped bathe and tidy up rooms. I also spent time talking and connecting with the residents while I was assisting them and in between meals when days were slow. I spent the rest of my time working in a hospital due to the low manning in the Senior Home. While at the hospital I helped with a good deal of "messes" ranging from general vomit to radiation patients. Although I don't particularly enjoy this part of the job, it made me feel complete to know that I was helping someone's mother, father, sibling or child. I can assure you that I will treat your loved one with the utmost respect and dignity that they deserve.
