About Hailey

Hi there! My name is Hailey and I have been working in education, with learners of all ages, for 10 years! I was an elementary teacher in Boston Public Schools for 5 years and I taught math, reading, writing, and social studies. I have also been tutoring students in grades 1-6 for 7 years. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked in adult education; I have taught ESL classes to adult immigrants; I taught financial literacy to farmers in rural Tanzania; and I also have extensive experience as a workshop facilitator here in the US. This year, I am taking a break from the classroom and I now work as the Director of Instructional Design at an international education organization. In my role, I do not work directly with students, but I manage several teams that write global curriculum for reading, writing and ESL courses. I enjoy supporting learners of all ages on their educational journeys and I strive to customize my teaching to meet the diverse needs of my students.
