About Joshua

I've been surrounded by the medical field long before I was blessed with the opportunity to be paid for it. Nearly my entire family works in medicine, which shaped how I care for others. I'm a senior at Liberty University finishing dual degrees in Biomedical Science and Biopsychology, headed to medical school soon. For three years, I've worked in a doctor's office in the IV and chelation therapy department, helping patients follow their doctors' orders for medications and supplements, conducting triage, and starting and regulating IVs. My patients were largely elderly, including many with dementia and Alzheimer's, along with special needs patients and children. Two of my great-grandmothers lived with dementia, and my grandfather suffered a stroke. My experience with them taught me what patience and genuine presence mean when someone is navigating loss of agency. Thank you for reading a little about me, now I look forward to learning about you!
