About Julia

I'm looking for a job that will allow me to spend intentional time with teaching students. Currently, I am a student teacher for 8th grade. It has taught me a lot but there's not enough time in the period to dedicate to each child. I'm hoping that tutoring will allow me to teach more personally. I began to really tutor in junior year of high school, as I would stay after school to help a wide range of students in Chemistry. In freshman year of college, I went with a group of college students to an elementary school. While there, I saw how giving students' attention by sitting down and directing them, can really change their school day through higher engagement. In my spare time, I like to run by myself or with friends, hike, bike, and plan long road trips. I enjoy cooking with my roommates and cleaning around the apartment. The most important aspect of my life is my campus ministry, which has meetings weekly and church on Sunday.
