About Julie

Hello, my name is Julie. I just finished a four month back-packing trip on the west coast, called the Pacific Crest Trail. I have had many years of experience working with children. When I was in high school I babysat for many families and decided to get higher education in early childhood. While getting my degree in early childhood education I had the privilege of nannying two kids. My responsibilities as their caregiver were picking up the children from school, taking them to practice and then driving them home. When at home we would play outside, have crafts indoors and prepare dinner before their parents arrived. In 2016 I moved to Chicago where I taught preschool. I love to have fun and believe children learn best from play-based learning while focusing on emotional and social growth.
