About Kirsten

Hello, I'm Kirsten! I am currently a first grade teacher living in Seattle, Washington. I have been babysitting since I was 13 years old and I am entering my tenth year of teaching. I graduated from Washington State University in 2014 and after student teaching on a military base in Grafenwoher, Germany, was a substitute teacher for a year in a wide range of classrooms and specialist positions such as small group reading instruction and English Language Learning. I moved to Austin, Texas for the opportunity to teach at an International Baccalaureate School. I moved home to be closer to family and loved ones in 2021 and am now a first grade teacher. Because of my experience in education, I would be more than happy to help with reading, math, and all other subjects. I love learning with children through fun, interactive games. I know that helping our future grow and thrive is where I am supposed to be.
