About Laura

I am a mother of 6 children, ranging from 35 to 11, and I have many years of experience caring for children of all ages, including infants. I have worked with three long-term families, as well as several families on an occasional basis. My first family, the Riches family, was with me for 15-16 years. I started when their daughter was an infant and stayed as their family grew to three children. I then worked with the Henry family for 11 years, starting part-time when they had one baby and eventually transitioning to full-time as their family grew. Most recently, I worked with the Calhoun family for about 6 years. I left my last position at the end of 2025 to care for my husband after he was diagnosed with brain cancer. Sadly, he passed away in March 2026. After taking some time for myself and my family, I am now ready to return to work. As a mother and grandmother, I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your children.
