About Lauren

I started working with kids during middle school. I babysat for my two cousins (now teenagers) as well as neighbors. This past year I was an after school Youth Development Assistant at the Boys and Girls Club, and this summer I was also a camp counselor. These positions included assistance with homework and reading, leading games and group activities such as arts and crafts, and overall making sure that the kids are having fun. In my spare time, I like to shop, spend time with friends, take care of my dog Tory, and listen to music on vinyl's or on spotify! This upcoming fall I'm also planning on taking a couple classes at College of Dupage. One thing you should know about me is I am schedule-oriented and incredibly punctual. Any vacation days or days off I will be sure to let you know of months in advance. My skills include Play-Based Learning, Family Communication, and Decision-Making and Problem Solving
