About Lauren

Hello!! My name is Lauren and I am a sophomore at the University of Illinois Chicago on the pre-nursing track. I have always loved working with children, which inspired me to start my own volunteer organization, Helping Hands. Through this program, I've tutored kids, planned holiday activities, and volunteered at schools and community centers to support after-school programs. I also have hands-on babysitting experience caring for my younger cousin, which taught me how to be patient, dependable, and creative when engaging with children of different ages. Families often describe me as caring, responsible, and easy to connect with. I enjoy creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where kids can learn, play, and grow--whether that means helping with homework, doing crafts, or playing games. Babysitting is meaningful to me because it allows me to combine my love for kids with my passion for helping others as I work toward becoming a nurse.
