We had wonderful FaceTime + in-person interviews with Luisa (Maria Luisa, goes by Luisa!) but had an unexpected spot open in infant daycare, and weren't able to offer her a full-time nanny job. However, I am writing this review based on our interview and speaking with a reference for whom she nannied in the Bay Area. Luisa has a strong background in childcare and her prior family talked about how much energy she brought to taking care of their infant- going on walks, reading, talking, and singing with her background in teaching gin Ecuador. She helped with introducing their son to solid foods and took initiative to help with meal prep and laundry to make the family's home life simpler. Her prior family said she had "no negatives!" We found her to be smart, warm/approachable, mature, and poised, and our son gave his full approval, falling asleep in her arms almost immediately. She would be a wonderful candidate for a nanny job, especially for a family with an interest in Spanish-language teaching/immersion for children. We are keeping her contact information and will gladly use her for babysitting help in the future!
