About Shannan

I am currently 22 and before my grandma had passed back in 2011 I was my mom's/hospice's assistant and sometimes my own with taking care of her. She was diagnosed with Parkinson disease. For four years, my family and hospice were her primary caretakers. Sometimes my mom needed a break or had other errands to do for our family, so she left me in charge. My duties included meal preparation, bathing, dressing, helping her walk and anything in between. As much as it killed me to watch my Grandma slowly get worse I am happy that I was able to be with her for those years. We grew a special bond, stronger than ever before and from the day she passed to forever I will cherish our memories and our connection we grew among st each other. I love senior citizens and if there's a way that I can help them and make them happier about the life I live then that's the job for me!
