About Nora

Hello! My name is Nora and I am currently a 4th grade teacher at an Independent Private School in the DC Area. I have taught subject-specific material, learning strategies, and social/emotional skills through class discussion, lessons, experiential learning, and hands-on activities. Prior to my current job, I worked as a resource teacher and curriculum modification specialist. I provided small group and 1:1 instruction to support students in meeting educational goals. I analyzed the needs of students to modify curriculum materials and identify assistive technology tools for the classroom, assignments, and assessments to ensure students were able to successfully demonstrate understanding. Additional to my teaching experience, I have tutored ages 7-14 in a variety of subjects. I studied Education at the Catholic University of America, scoring well on all Praxis exams!
