I am an experienced Montessori pre-k/kindergarten teacher. I have been working for Arlington County for 13 years. I tutored privately for 15 years and through Lab school of Washington for 3 years. I am trained in Orten Gillingham, Linda-Mood Bell Lips program and SEE (Sequential English Education). These are all programs to assist children with difficulties in learning to read. I worked for 3 years at the June Shelton school in Dallas TX which specializes in children with learning disabilities. I am very comfortable, experienced and skilled in this area. I would be a great help in giving your child (kindergarten through second grade) a little or big boost in their emerging or struggling reading skills. In addition, I am also available to help with less specific needs such as help/support with homework etc.
