I worked in an assisted living home for 2 years as an activity assistant, and receptionist. I would try my best to get all the residents to become involved with activities. I would lead morning exercise to a small group of residents, aid in crafts and games, help transport residents to and from events, and much more. My neighbors mother got diagnosed with dementia and asked me to take care of her mother every Tuesday afternoon. I did this for about one year. I'm glad I could help keep her safe in her own home!

Rachel takes great pride in getting to know the seniors she worked with. Many have dementia, and she knew how to get them to be engaged in activities that they enjoyed. Rachel has great enthusiasm, creativity and drive to make as many residents feel good about themselves. She is reliable, a team player and has a calming effect. I miss having her as my assistant and she continues to be in contact with the residents.
