About Rosie

I worked in an in-home daycare for five years, attended UW for my degree in Education, Communities, and Organizations, and minored in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies. I have privately tutored, tutored in the SPS system, interned as a kindergarten teacher, and taught ski lessons. I have been nannying for the past three years with kids ages 6 months to 10 years old. I love teaching and talking with kids about the world around them and how it relates to them, listening to their thoughts and feelings, and helping them understand and express themselves . I love a good feelings journal, and am a sticker chart junkie :P I guide kids with kind, respectful words while maintaining firm, clearly stated boundaries. I utilize community resources to facilitate fun, educational daily activities and adventures. I have lots of experience in a classroom, and can turn any activity in a learning opportunity. I love working with kids five and under, but have experience with all ages :)
