About Sarah

I am a full time art teacher at a middle school on the North Shore. I have 10+ years of experience working with children in a variety of settings including art classes, summer camps, chess and circus programs, as well as drama club. I am also the technical director for my school's yearly musicals. I am looking for summer work during summer vacation from school, and am open to working with families if our school breaks align during the school year. I have a bachelors degree in Graphic Design and a Masters of Arts in Teaching. I love nurturing children's creativity and problem solving skills. I always tell my students that I prefer working with kids because they are usually way more creative than most adults, and it's true!! I am able to tutor students in almost any subject, but my personal strengths include 2D and 3D art, theater arts, and English Language Arts.

Sarah has a wonderful way of connecting with children by meeting them where they're at and her creative spirit and skills are a source of inspiration that any child would be lucky to have access to. She is kind, gentle and friendly to everyone she meets, and full of fun ideas of how to express oneself.
