About Sara

Hello! I am currently a 2nd grade special education teacher with 12 years experience. I have worked with grades K-5 throughout my career. I have experience teaching reading, writing, phonics and math with both special education students and general education students. I am licensed k-12 Special Education, K-5 General Education, and a post graduate Reading Specialist licensure. I am trained in Orton-Gillingham and have been using this program with students for many years. I am looking forward to working with your child! I'd describe my personality as patient, energetic, and kind! I like tutoring because it gives me the opportunity to work with children one on one and see the progress they make throughout the year or in the summer. With tutoring, I get to cater to my students needs and learning techniques. It gives us an opportunity to build more a rapport and focus on the instruction. I started tutoring about 7 years ago.
