Hello! My name is Shea, and I am a professional caregiver known for my patient, intuitive personality and clear boundaries. Starting my career at 16 as a CNA in Iowa, I worked demanding nightshifts six days a week in a specialized dementia care unit. This environment regularly placed me in high-stress situations, all of which I handled extremely well with composure and maturity. Because of this, I truly excel in memory care. I understand the challenges of Alzheimer's and dementia-like sun-downing and behavioral changes-and am highly skilled at redirection and de-escalating stressful moments. I am also experienced in daily living assistance, safe transfers, and medication reminders.
