About Sophie

I have worked with 3 families before, ages 3-10. While working for these families my work included, driving the kids to or from school, making small meals at home, driving the kids to their events, tidying around the house, and helping with their homework. Recently I finished 2 years of service with City Year through AmeriCorps. Most of my service year was spent in the afterschool space facilitating lessons and hosting events for our students. Our program ran from afterschool to 6 p.m. Monday - Friday. Our schedule was: first is homework hour where I would walk around and help students as they needed. Then we'd move in to snack which I would serve to students, and recess. During recess we would play group activities and games to keep the kids engaged. Our program ends with lessons made by us, and were in a wide range of topics like, STEAM, Reading, History, theatre, social justice and more! I'm looking forward to getting to know a new family and supporting you however I can!
