About Susan

I was a practicing dental hygienist for years - a profession requiring close physical contact and the establishment of trust with people from all demographics, presenting with a wide variety of medical, social, and psychological challenges. This experience has provided me with a firm foundation for caregiving work. I am a friendly, compassionate person who is a good listener, and engages others easily. I currently hold a part-time position as a personal assistant to a senior widow who has underlying health conditions, making her at-risk for COVID. I provide companionship, run errands, do light housekeeping, and accompany her to doctor's appointments to ensure that her concerns are addressed thoroughly, and any instructions are understood. I find this work personally rewarding, and well-suited to my personality and skills. When I was a hygienist, my favorite patients were my seniors - they always had the best stories!
