For five years, my grandmother who had ALS/dementia lived with me. I helped her with day-to-day activities, personal affairs scheduling doctor appointments, medicine management, meal preparation and planning most importantly companionship. We did daily light stretching/exercise along with walks and engaging conversation. We enjoyed board games over a nice cup of coffee (or her favorite tea) watching her favorite tv shows I also worked at a local senior living community as an activities assistant facilitating a senior fitness program/chair yoga.
