About Yesenia

Hello Parents! My name is Yesenia, and I bring over 20 years plus of experience in early childhood education and childcare. My passion for teaching and nurturing children began in 2002 when I opened my own daycare, where I also cared for children in the foster care system as a foster mom. In 2008, I began volunteering at my son's preschool, which led to a teaching opportunity. To further my education, I completed child development courses and earned my Teaching Certificate. In 2009, I joined Head Start Preschool, where I dedicated 13 years to helping children and families thrive. I hold an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Humanities, a Child Development Teacher Permit through the State of California, and a Certification in Infant and Toddler Child Development from MiraCosta College. I am also certified in CPR, First Aid, and Food Handling.
