Winter Semester (January-Mid March) If you’re in middle school and a fan of action, fantasy, art, or anything in that vein, then come join the Dungeons & Dragons Game & Art class! This class is a fusion of traditional art projects and social team-building games; we will be learning how to draw and sketch quickly as we act out characters in a narrative, while also creating maps, portraits, and inventory sheets to fully design and flesh out a character of our own. This class will help you learn how to build worlds, create characters, and work with others on a personal and group basis. Glow in the Dark Art Unleash your creativity in a unique setting at the "In the Dark Art Camp," where young artists are invited to explore the mysterious and captivating world of glow-in-the-dark and UV-responsive art. This week we’re celebrating the truly iconic artist and activist Augusta Savage! Known for her sculptures and influential art gallery, Savage is responsible for educating and encouraging a generation of nationally renowned artists born out of the Harlem Renaissance. We will experiment with the tactile approach of clay by making an antelope bust. Students will expand their sculpting techniques while learning about armature support construction, troubleshooting with different approaches to balance and application. To top it all off, they will add their own lively touch by painting their masterpiece, focusing on value and form.

This week we’re celebrating the Lunar New Year! 2026 is the year of the horse, so we’ll be painting this majestic steed. Our objective with this piece is to capture form with stark contrast for an impactful image. Students will exercise restraint with this limited pallet as they challenge their dexterity.
