This ongoing class seamlessly extends our Middle & High School Art Program, continuing from summer into the school year and cycling back each season. By progressively exploring the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design, students not only learn art techniques but also develop a deep appreciation for art history. Here's what our young artists will explore: Foundational Concepts: Dive into the Elements of Art and Principles of Design to create visually compelling pieces. Drawing Skills: From observational and perspective drawing to life and figure sketches, students refine their ability to represent the world around them. Students will explore a diverse range of dry media, including graphite, oil pastels, chalk pastels, charcoal, and ink. Composition and Color: Learn the intricate concepts of 2D composition and color theory to enhance artistic expression. Painting Techniques: Experiment with various media such as acrylics, watercolors, gouache, learning manipulation techniques that bring ideas to life. Art History: Travel through time exploring influential artists, both historical and contemporary, to understand their impact on the art world and society. Class Requirements Minimum age requirement for this class: Students must be enrolled in at least 6th grade for the 2025/26 school year to participate in this class.

Summer art is filled with fun. Join us weekly as we explore famous artists and different mediums. If you purchase an apron with us, you can leave it with us each week or take home. Please dress for a mess to enable your child to fully enjoy the creative experience.

Summer Semester (May-August) THERE IS NO CLASS JULY 4. The price is adjusted therefore no make-ups are needed. Exercise the imagination at the ART House. This class is designed for preschool children aged 4 and 5 to introduce them to art and proper classroom behavior. In this class they will work on fine motor skills through creating art! Your child will practice using scissors, holding a pencil and paint brush, and much more through drawing, painting, and sculpting. Classes are limited in sizes so sign your child up today!
