About Alyssa

Hello! My name is Alyssa and I love to learn and teach others. Knowledge is power, and sharing information with others makes for a better/brighter future for all of us. I have a bachelor's degree in English; I love language and always have. I am also fluent in American Sign Language and have been since I was very young. I also took several college courses in American Sign Language and ASL Interpretation to polish my skills and learn the fascinating skill of translation. I also student-taught at a school for students with disabilities during my undergraduate studies (Easter Seals). I went to graduate school for marketing and advertising, and I feel confident in my ability to teach these subjects as well. In my free time, I have a passion for health and fitness. I have been a distance runner since I was 14, played soccer for 10+ years, and I study food and nutrition in my free time, reading and learning about how to maximize my health. I love to help others and spread positivity!
