In Music 2, children will begin to experiment with ways to play musical instruments, accompany a song with rhythm, and act out lyrics through movements using both gross motor and fine motor skills. In this exciting capstone week, students become young innovators as they learn how to clearly and confidently create and pitch an idea to a live panel of key communication members! Students will: - Create their own product or idea (toy? Game? tool? Even pitch their book?) - Learn the fundamentals of PERSUASIVE PITCHING - Learning how to create and structure an ELEVATOR PITCH - Practice explaining ideas clearly, confidently, and engagingly - Learn how to ANSWER QUESTIONS from a panel and think on their feet - Work COLLABORATIVELY to strengthen presentation skills - Build CONFIDENCE presenting to new audiences 🎉 End-of-Week Event: “Pitch and Product” Showcase! Little Folkies' folk music class that welcomes toddlers and preschoolers to come together every week to sing like one big family! There is never a dull moment in this class, with the teacher leading the students through fun and engaging finger play activities, hand movements, fun lap songs, call and response singing and hands-on jamming with shakers, wooden kids instruments, harmonicas, and more! The sweet, gentle and simple songs of the folk tradition have lyrics easy enough for children to sing along to and creating positive early musical memories for them.
