Satisfy your curiosity, and experience a fun and thorough introduction to throwing on the potter’s wheel. Learn the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups, bowls and more in this exciting introduction to throwing fundamentals. Your instructor guides you through the process of throwing, shaping and trimming pots on the wheel. Special handbuilding project and casting will also included. Basic surface decoration and glazing techniques are also demonstrated. This class is designed for students any level experience on the potter’s wheel. Those who have more experience will complete more pieces/ advanced techniques. Those learning will master the basic skills to create wheel thrown pieces. Register for all classes, as we will build on experience of the students. During our last class, we will meet the last 10-15 minutes of class for an Art Show Presentation. Students will showcase their pieces in an art show to guests. Parents- Invite grandparents, friends and family. All pieces go home the last day of class. Such a fun way for students to share what they have learned through process and design. Many projects are “built upon” each class, so that students experience a variety of mediums and take home several projects. Projects are new every session, so sign-up for both June and July sessions. Our Last Class we will have student presentations the last 15 minutes of class. Please bring a bag and some towels, paper to wrap all of your treasures and take home.

Based off the 1952 book "The Borrowers", the story of Arrietty and her tiny family who live secretly in the walls of a human home, borrowing items and keeping out of sight. Our movie nights include theater games, costumes, a film-related craft, and of course… pizza (and carrot sticks)! The fun lasts about three hours, giving you enough time to go out for a nice dinner, take a stroll to The Castro, or just enjoy some time to yourself. 5:30 Drop off and free play stations: coloring, dress up, legos, beading and more! 6:00 Circle time with theater games and songs 6:15 Art project in theme of movie ~6:30 Pizza party and movie begins! ~8:15 Movie ends 8:15 – 8:30 Pick up window **Please take note of the film we will be showing and make sure the themes are suitable for your child's sensitivities** Please remember we are a nut-free studio. We will be coming together to make crafts, eat pizza and enjoy an out of this world movie. Our pizza nights include creative time and dinner from our beloved local Bernal Hill Pizza shop. In Music 1, children will delight in the sound of instruments, and “singing” through musical baby talk. They'll enjoy being sung to, experiencing new sounds and the anticipation of surprise!

Does your child shine in the spotlight? Then our Falcon Theater Camp is the place to be! Campers will spend the week honing their skills and releasing their inner thespian through games and activities. The week will culminate in a final performance created by campers!

In Music 2, children will begin to experiment with ways to play musical instruments, accompany a song with rhythm, and act out lyrics through movements using both gross motor and fine motor skills. Children know so much about music at this stage and are at the beginning stages of being able to express themselves musically!

We’ll teach basic fundamentals of a wide variety of sports and then assist and supervise as our campers compete in an organized and safe setting!! The house will be rocking with music playing throughout the day and a level of energy that will only be outdone by the amount of FUN being had!! Best of all, the unpredictable weather will never be a factor because we have an awesome indoor space, covered in state-of-the-art field turf!!
